Fall generally marks the time when people pack away their brighter colors and substitute them with army greens, oranges, and mustard yellows. Today's outfit is proof that you can still rock those brighter hues for fall. My solution in today's outfit is simply to opt for riding boots, thicker textures like this wool skirt, and a multi-functioning piece like this Ralph Lauren plaid shirt that could be rocked with white jeans in the summer or worn as a layering piece in the winter.

plaid button-up shirt: Polo Ralph Lauren // purple wool skirt: J.Crew Factory // brown riding boots: Madden Girl
