If you've been following my blog for any period of time, you might know of my hatred toward suits and dress pants/slacks. I believe there are hundreds of alternatives that still look great for work without making you look stuffy and boring.

Some my disagree and say trendy pieces don't belong in the office, but I say work it and make it work!

10 years ago, heck 5 years ago it would have been a faux pas to wear leopard and leather to work. Now there are leopard heels, flats, belts, etc. and leather pencil skirts and leather-trim pants and blazers.

I love these leather coated black pants. There not quite the leather legging look that may be frowned upon in your office, but they still give off those vibes.
I think the key to making trendy pieces work for work is by adding dressier pieces. For example, this tailored longline blazer style vest and a pair of heels.

You shouldn't have to have a separate wardrobe just for work. Your closet should be able to function for any day and every day style!
